Salted Caramel Apple Latte Recipe

Your New Favorite Fall Coffee

Craving cozy fall coffee shop vibes? I know I am. I think it's been hot for far too long, especially in Denver, and now I am craving rain and snow while sitting in the warmth of a coffee shop drinking a Fall latte as Bon Iver plays softly in the background. This salted caramel apple latte delivers all the Fall feels without the afternoon nap type of sugar crash. Using real apple juice and our coconut sugar sweetened vanilla syrup, it's the perfect balance for any Fall morning.

It's like biting into a caramel apple at the farmers market, but in latte form. Sappy makes Fall better.

Ingredients

For the Latte:

  • 1-2 shots fresh espresso
  • 2 tablespoons Sappy Toasted Vanilla Bean Syrup
  • 1-2 tablespoons cloudy apple juice (the good stuff)
  • ¾ cup milk of choice (oat milk is my go to)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (Maldon or fleur de sel)

For the Vanilla Cold Foam (optional but highly recommended):

Recipe

  1. Pull 1-2 shots of espresso
  2. In your serving mug, combine:
    1. 2 tablespoons Sappy Toasted Vanilla Bean Syrup
    2. 1-2 tablespoons fresh apple juice
    3. Espresso
  3. Steam and add your milk of choice to the mug
  4. Make the cold foam (if using):
    1. Combine cream and 1 tablespoon syrup in a jar
    2. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until fluffy
    3. Or use a milk frother for 15-20 seconds
  5. Top it off:
    1. Spoon cold foam on top
    2. Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt
    3. Add a dash of cinnamon
  6. Serve: Best enjoyed fresh, preferably in a cozy sweater, maybe under a blanket with a good book
